For assessment in PE, we look at across the whole curriculum in PE and also wider school sport involvement. We break the assessment down into 3 different areas:

• Thinking and Knowledge of PE and School Sport (Head) 
• Physically Doing PE (Hands) 
• Behaviour and Attitude towards PE and School Sport (Heart) 

 

Individual units will have their own specific assessments 

At the end of each term each year group has a Knowledge Check assessment, these are based on Knowledge Organisers for the units as well as information given during lessons. 

Assessments allow teachers to see what information children have remembered from the unit they have been studying.
