Coronavirus - Support with general worries

As we all adapt and adjust to our 'new normal' routines during these uncertain times, we may experience a wide range of emotions. At times, your children may feel overwhelmed about Coronavirus (COVID-19), swinging between feeling stressed, worried, out of control and even fear.

However it's important to remember these feelings are normal and you are not alone, we are all in this together and together we can get through it. As parents and carers you may wonder how you can give the best support to your children as well as looking after your own well-being and mental health.

Our pastoral team have created this web page to support you through this unprecedented period of uncertainty. Here you will find a wide range of resources, information, ideas and links.

Vaccine Social Story

‘We have a vaccine’ is a story to inform and help children to understand what the new vaccine might mean for all of us.

Children aren’t currently expected to be vaccinated but they will be hearing about it and perhaps wondering why they aren’t having it. I hope this story will help to inform them.

CoronaVirus – A  book for children

“This pandemic is changing children’s lives across the globe and will have a lasting impact on us all. Helping children understand what is going on is an important step in helping them cope and making them part of the story – this is something that we are all going through, not something being done to them. This book puts children IN the picture rather just watching it happen, and in a way that makes the scary parts easier to cope with.”
