New Daily Teams Meetings

Class pages will no longer be updated by the class teachers. This is due to our new learning expectations, which include a daily Microsoft Teams meeting, 08:45-09:00, to register home learners and prepare them for the day of learning.

To access Teams you need to be logged in to your school email account (Office 365) - for help, click here. Or see the child friendly video for using Office 365 - Outlook email  here.

For help using Teams, click here. Or see the child friendly video tutorial for using Teams  here.

Assessment work

You no longer need to email in evidence of your work on a daily basis - this has been replaced with set pieces of work that will be identified for assessment. Your teachers will tell you which ones these are in the morning Teams meeting and they will be clearly identified on the daily planning.

To send in your assessment piece, you will usually send an email (ideally from your own school account) with a photo or uploaded attachment of the work. Sometimes, assessment may just be to complete a Microsoft Form or to complete a quiz.

Your teachers would love to respond to all of your emails but that is not possible now. If you do not get a response, and you think you should have (i.e. you asked a question that needs a response), please resend the email with, ‘PLEASE RESPOND’ in the email subject line, this will act as a reminder in such busy times.

Teachers will select samples of work from those entered, to build exemplars of work against the set success criteria at differentiated levels (working towards age related expectations, working at expectations and working at greater depth) to reflect a normal classroom. The work selected will remain anonymous and will focus only on the good examples of meeting the success criteria. Pupils (and families) will then be given the opportunity to self-assess their work against the exemplars to judge how well they are doing and pick out some targets to work on in their next assessment piece.

Enjoy the new learning format.

It's friday!

Hello 3LB! I hope you are all well today after a busy week of home learning. What has been your favourite task this week? We have been enjoying writing our fables at school and learning all about Hinduism in R.E. It's the last day of the week so we can all have a well deserved rest for the weekend.

Do you remember that Samuel told us on the Teams meeting that he had chick eggs that were due to hatch? I was very excited when he emailed me and let me know it had happened, and he sent along some wonderful photos too. The weather may be a bit chilly, but the photo below of the cute chicks definitely makes me feel like Spring is just around the corner. Thank you so much, Samuel!

Ismail has been working very hard at his English and sent through this brilliant character description plan!

Nell has been doing fantastically well with her Maths today, showing a brilliant understanding of counting money! Well done, Nell!

I was so pleased that Arjun sent me in some of his Dance Party work through. He showed a wonderful effort in creating his music videos. Here's a picture of him working brilliantly through his coding.

Good morning Everyone!

It was lovely to see even more of you thins morning on our Teams Meeting. We seemed not to have as many technical issues as before, so we're getting better every time! This morning is class we did some computing, and made our own video using coding on Dance Party? Have you tried this yet? We had a lot of fun getting our animals to dance!

Thank you so much for the wonderful work that's being sent in to me.

Nell sent in a beautiful picture which some of you may have seen on the Teams Meeting.

Arjun has been working very hard on his starter boards and his wonderful Nasty Writing.

Finley has done an amazing job on his PSHE. Well done!

Have a lovely afternoon, everyone!

Miss Bagnall

Good Morning 3LB!

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are looking forward to a wonderful week of home learning.

It was amazing to speak to some of you on Friday in our Teams meeting! I really enjoyed catching up and getting to know what you had been doing at home. I know all the children in class really liked seeing you too. Remember our next Teams meeting is 10.15am on Wednesday 20th January. I hope to see even more of you there!

I've posted the Top Tens for last week down below. Well done to everyone who has worked hard on them so far. Keep Going!

Miss Bagnall

Good Afternoon

How are you all today? It's been a very soggy and wet Thursday, but we have got a lot of work done at school today including writing a lovely setting description for out fable. The children in class came up with some wonderful expanded noun phrases to really give their setting some fantastic detail.

Thank you so much if you have been sending in work for me to view. It has been wonderful to see.

Finley has been working very hard at home, including doing amazingly well with his maths. Well done!

I've had so much work in from Arjun; he is clearly working his socks off at home. Brilliant job Arjun! Below is a picture of his reading comprehension.

Have a lovely evening, 3LB! Hopefully the weather clears up!

Miss Bagnall

Good Morning everyone!

Comment ca va? Are you all ready for another day of home learning?  There's another fantastic day ahead of us, with lots of activities for you to choose from. Are you enjoying learning about fables in Writing? We loved working out the morals of the stories in school as well, and heard lots of different tales so far.

We have been reading in class, and I have a few people who have met their Reading target already this term! They have been busy.

Remember to send me a picture of any work you have completed, and it might end up on this page!

Have a wonderful day,

Miss Bagnall

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Welcome back to another day of home learning, as you have probably already seen there is lots to work through again today.  We have been working hard to make sure there are a range of activities to suit everyone and to keep you busy but don't forget to take time out for some fun too!

Mix your day up, pick and choose between things you enjoy and things that will stretch you - I promise you we are working through the same work in class, so we are all in it together.

Please remember to send me an email to let me know what you have achieved and maybe a photo or two so that I can encourage others.

Have a great day

Miss Bagnall

Good Morning 3LB!

Are you missing being in school?  We are certainly missing you being here!

I hope that you have started to follow the online learning and not having any difficulties accessing each subject.  I know for some of you it will feel all a bit much trying to do it at home but stay calm, do one thing at a time - You have got this!  Don't forget you can always email me any questions you have.

Some people have been kindly sending me pictures of what they have been doing - I always love to see, so please continue to do this, it brightens up my day.  Look at how busy Arjun has been with his Starter Boards, Maths lessons and Guided Reading tasks - Amazing!  keep up the good work.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Miss Bagnall

Welcome 3LB!

Hello Ash Class! It was lovely to chat to some of you last week on the video call, and I've enjoyed meeting a couple of you already. Thank you so much to those people who have already sent me their 'All About Me' sheet . It has been fantastic to start getting to know you. I really look forward to meeting you all in person in September.

Talk to you soon!
