New Daily Teams Meetings
Class pages will no longer be updated by the class teachers. This is due to our new learning expectations, which include a daily Microsoft Teams meeting, 08:45-09:00, to register home learners and prepare them for the day of learning.
You no longer need to email in evidence of your work on a daily basis - this has been replaced with set pieces of work that will be identified for assessment. Your teachers will tell you which ones these are in the morning Teams meeting and they will be clearly identified on the daily planning.
To send in your assessment piece, you will usually send an email (ideally from your own school account) with a photo or uploaded attachment of the work. Sometimes, assessment may just be to complete a Microsoft Form or to complete a quiz.
Your teachers would love to respond to all of your emails but that is not possible now. If you do not get a response, and you think you should have (i.e. you asked a question that needs a response), please resend the email with, ‘PLEASE RESPOND’ in the email subject line, this will act as a reminder in such busy times.
Teachers will select samples of work from those entered, to build exemplars of work against the set success criteria at differentiated levels (working towards age related expectations, working at expectations and working at greater depth) to reflect a normal classroom. The work selected will remain anonymous and will focus only on the good examples of meeting the success criteria. Pupils (and families) will then be given the opportunity to self-assess their work against the exemplars to judge how well they are doing and pick out some targets to work on in their next assessment piece.
Enjoy the new learning format.
Happy Friday one and all!
Another fab week on the home learning front, I have seen some brilliant pictures of your hard work and it is truly fantastic to see. A nice mix of pics from different subject and activities below from yesterday. I hope you all have a great weekend and hopefully the weather will allow us all to get out and enjoy some fresh air.
Missing all of you at home, take care.

Good morning my wonderful class!
It was lovely to speak with many of you yesterday on the class teams call, sorry to those who had technology issues and couldn't join. In future make sure you log into your outlook 365 Chesswood account and access the meeting invite through this, it should hopefully solve any difficulties that you might have been having. Thanks as always to anyone that has sent me any work through, it's great to see you trying so hard each day.
Have a great Thursday.

Hello 3PB and welcome to Wednesday!
Thanks to all of you for sending in work and other pictures of you reading in weird places as well. I am speaking with many parents this week and it is great to hear how well you are getting on at home, keep up the good work! A few pics below as ever of some work received yesterday. Don't forget that we have our teams catch up at 10.15 today and this will be every Wednesday from here on in at this time.
Below is the reminder of the rules for the Teams call, please read this carefully.
Have a fab day, I look forward to seeing some of you later.
- When your teacher invites you to a session it will appear in the relevant channel on Teams. Try to make sure that you are in a quiet, shared, comfortable environment, free from distractions for your session. Please avoid being in your bedrooms unless supervised by an adult.
- If you can’t make the “live” session, then try let us know before the session begins.
- Just like in the classroom, we ask you not to talk at the same time as the teacher. So, keep your microphone on mute unless you want to ask a question or say something in which case hold up your hand just like you would in school. When you have got permission to speak, say what you want to say, and then mute your microphone again.
- Keep your camera on (if you can) because we would like to see your lovely faces and create a virtual classroom.
- You must not record or take photos of teachers or students during video conferencing sessions, and you must not share lessons publicly. Remember our online safety rules – no sharing of personal information.
- We must all follow these rules to keep you safe and to make sure things run smoothly. Just like in school, always remember the Chesswood Bright Sparks Code – show courtesy, care and kindness at all times.

Good morning my lovelies,
I hope that you had a good day yesterday? We certainly did in class and even managed to do a couple of jump start Johnny videos to keep active and break up our learning a little. I hope that you are finding similar opportunities for exercise or relaxation activities to help with mental well-being, if so, I'd love to see pictures or videos of these too! Thanks as ever to anyone that sent me in pictures of their work yesterday.
Have a marvellous day.

Happy Monday 3PB,
I very much enjoyed talking with those of you that joined us for the class call on Friday and I hope that you enjoyed it too. It was lovely to see and speak with you and the children in class really loved being able to do so as well. Thanks to those of you who are sending me in pictures of your work or reading in strange places in your homes. I am starting to get a lot more of these now and I will be choosing three pictures each day to add to this class page.
Wishing you a fabulous Monday.

Good morning my wonderful class,
A much better day today weather wise despite the cold, the sun is shining and we have blue skies! If you are able to get some fresh air and exercise a little please try and do so, it is so important for your mental well being. The work is starting to come in more now which is fab, keep on sending me the completed bits of work that you do, I love hearing from you. We have our class teams call at 10.15 if you are able to join us, it would be great to see you.
Here is Sylvie's spaghetti bolognaise for her DT as well as Emlyn and Emily's maths from yesterday too.
Another wet and grey day in store but my spirits have been lifted considerably by seeing some work start to come in! Thanks very much to Polly and George H for sending me through some pics. I know that many more of you will be embracing the home learning just as well so please do remember to send me pics of any work that you complete and any of you reading in unusual places as these really make me smile!
Morning my lovelies,
I hope that my daily message today finds you all well and enjoying the challenge of home learning. A big thanks to Emlyn and Polly who have emailed me to say hi, it was great to hear from you both. Please remember to send me photos of the work that you are completing and any reading pictures from unusual places within your homes!
Have a wonderful day.
I hope that you have a wonderful Tuesday learning from home today. Don't forget to send in any work that you are completing and also, I'd love to see pictures of you reading in unusual places around your home too! We are doing the same learning that you are here in class, we currently have 12 in the here but this could go up a few more as the week progresses.
Missing you all.
Happy Monday 3PB!
I hope that my message finds you well and that you are adapting to home learning well. Each day I will be uploading selected pieces of work that you send in, onto the class page to celebrate your successes with everyone in the class. To make sure we can have a page that we are proud of I need you to send me lots of work!
Take care everyone, I am missing you all.
A big thanks to Grace for sending in this art last week.
Hi Everyone and welcome to the 3PB class page.
I've been having a great time reading all about you and I have also really enjoyed meeting the children who have visited Chesswood. I am so excited for September and I am looking forward to meeting all of you properly!
It isn't too late to send in your challenges or your 'All About Me' posters, so please just send them in when you are ready.
Here is a little postcard for you so you can get to know me a bit better. It's only fair that if you are sharing all the cool stuff about you, then I should do the same. We are 3PB, so we always work together.
Well, I hope you enjoyed reading my postcard. I am really looking forward to seeing you all in September. We will be an amazing class and we will all take care of each other. You will settle in before you know it! Have an amazing summer 3PB and I will see you all in September.
