Maegan has some beautifully handwritten work, making a great start. 

She has also made a great progress with maths too.

Ellis has also made a fantastic start with an amazing poem on what colours mean.

New Daily Teams Meetings

Class pages will no longer be updated by the class teachers. This is due to our new learning expectations, which include a daily Microsoft Teams meeting, 08:45-09:00, to register home learners and prepare them for the day of learning.

Assessment work

You no longer need to email in evidence of your work on a daily basis - this has been replaced with set pieces of work that will be identified for assessment. Your teachers will tell you which ones these are in the morning Teams meeting and they will be clearly identified on the daily planning. 

To send in your assessment piece, you will usually send an email (ideally from your own school account) with a photo or uploaded attachment of the work. Sometimes, assessment may just be to complete a Microsoft Form or to complete a quiz.

Your teachers would love to respond to all of your emails but that is not possible now. If you do not get a response, and you think you should have (i.e. you asked a question that needs a response), please resend the email with, ‘PLEASE RESPOND’ in the email subject line, this will act as a reminder in such busy times.

Teachers will select samples of work from those entered, to build exemplars of work against the set success criteria at differentiated levels (working towards age related expectations, working at expectations and working at greater depth) to reflect a normal classroom. The work selected will remain anonymous and will focus only on the good examples of meeting the success criteria. Pupils (and families) will then be given the opportunity to self-assess their work against the exemplars to judge how well they are doing and pick out some targets to work on in their next assessment piece.

Good Afternoon! How is everyone? 

The whole class has been working hard, you are all doing amazingly!

We have fantastic work from Caiomhe, Olivia, Jamie, Jack, Ellis, Kiera and Maizy up on display. 

Great pieces of written work from Ellis, Caiomhe and Olivia!

 

Maizy and Jamie look they are having fun baking. Make sure to save some for us!

 

Josie has also made an terrific sculpture of the Eiffel Tower. How much cardboard did that take?

Good Morning! It has been great to see you all today.  

Gabey has been working hard completing all his work. His mind-map gives great ideas for further writing. 

 

 

Also showing his DT skills in cooking, making a delicious looking pizza! Is there any left?

 

Everyone is doing a great job with their Reading Targets. We have more people flying past that space station!

Well done to Caoimhe and Theo! Keep up the great work. We also have Layan, Georgina, Jack, Kyan and Ria cruising past 20% well done astronauts!!

 

Edward J and Ayla are vast approaching 100% Amazing! Keep up the great work.

 

It's great to see all of you working hard to complete you reading targets.

We are very proud of how hard you all continue to work.

 

CHALLENGE!! 

We need pictures you in different coloured clothes and hats. You can use hoods and scarves as well to cover your head. These will be put together for a whole class Where's Wally display. You can also get your family involved!

Please send as many pictures as you can.

 

Keep up the amazing work, it great to see how hard you all are working.

Good Afternoon - how are we all doing today?  I hope you're working hard and being the best that you can be!  Jamie has been working hard in DT, making Sweet Potato Brownies.  They do look amazing!

 

 

So, Mr Hicks has informed me that I'm going to get a chance to see you all tomorrow during our TEAMS meetup.   I can't wait!

Welcome to another week of Lockdown Learning.  We hope you had a fantastic weekend and have made a great start to the week's lessons.  Thank you so much for all the messages and photographs - we love to hear from you and hear about your work and anything else you've been doing.

We're going to share a couple of photographs with you today but keep an eye on here as we will  be introducing the new classroom display very, very soon....

Plus don't forget about the reading display.  We'll update that on Wednesday and hope to find lots of people blasting off, and passing the International Space Station.  Let us know if you have any problems logging on to AR to take a quiz.  We need more astronauts!

HEllo Everyone!

Hi Guys, I hope you're all well and apologies for not posting yesterday. Sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day!

How are you all getting on?

It's been lovely to hear from some of you and very, very well done to those of you who've started emailing work in. It would be lovely to hear from some more of you and also to see even more of your absolutely amazing home learning!

I've now posted a home learning survey on the Year 5 daily learning page and so do please go and fill it on to let us know how you're getting with working from home again.

I'm also looking forward to hopefully seeing lots of you on our Teams meeting tomorrow morning, Friday, at 9:30AM!

Good Morning ALL!

Good morning and welcome to 5HH Class page - once again.  I hope you are all well and getting stuck in to your home learning work.  Today, our foundation subjects are Science and Computing, including a fun experiment involving a ruler as a see-saw.  Make sure you send us your photos so we can add them to the page.

Mr Oliver and I were busy last week updating the reading display.  It has been great to see so many of you already leaving the launch pad (check out the photo!) and even moving past 10%, which is now the International Space Station.  So far, we have 14 of you in space, with the rest hopefully getting your engines fired up and ready.

 

 

Well done to Lenny and Olivia who have both reached over 200%.  We also have 6 astronauts who have reached over 50% of their target - congratulations to Edward N, Fana, Jamie, Ayla, Edward J and Connie!  And that's not all - Ria, Daniel, Jack, Layan, Georgina and Kyan have all blasted off, passing the International Space Station....you're all doing a fab job.  We are so proud of you all.

Keep up the great work and get those photos to us!

Meet the teacher - September 2020

Due to COVID restrictions, unfortunately, we cannot meet with parents this year. Therefore, we have produced this video to introduce ourselves, give a brief update on how the start of term has gone and tell you how you can support your child or contact us if you have any queries.
