Black History Month - OverviewAt Chesswood we support Black history month and use our assembly time to better understand the history and experiences of black people nationally and internationally. The content is challenging for all as it comes to terms with historic and continuing inequality. However, the focus is on learning from the past and taking steps to make the future experiences for all better and more equitable. We have three principles for all children in this phase of assemblies and beyond:
World peace and equity starts with little individuals in assemblies and on playgrounds who will one day lead communities, businesses and nations. We expect them to lead with integrity and learn from the past to make the future better for all. Click on the image opposite or follow this LINK to find out more about this assembly content
