UPDATE 1 April 2022
The Government guidance changed on 1st April with regards to COVID-19. Testing has been removed and treatment aligned to other respiratory infections. If a child is unwell, they should not attend school; if a child is well enough to learn, they should be in school. Therefore, the requirement for isolation learning has now ended.
The full guidance is here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/people-with-symptoms-of-a-respiratory-infection-including-covid-19.
Bespoke Isolation Learning - 4-7 January 2021
In the first week back after Christmas, while we assess how many staff and pupils are impacted by COVID-19, we are offering bespoke home learning rather than organise Teams meetings for the writing and maths. The bespoke activities for children at home run alongside the traditional CHOICE homework activities that cover all other subjects. Please visit the Year Group pages below as normal.
This is specifically for children who are following Government guidance and isolating due to COVID-19. This will be children who have had a positive PCR test, or those who are symptomatic and have not had a PCR test yet or are awaiting the results- see our COVID-19 page. If your child's symptoms are too severe to complete school work, they will not be expected to - this work is for those positive COVID-19 cases without symptoms or with very mild symptoms.
These pages will lead you through various tasks to keep children engaged in learning throughout the week. You can also access these pages via the menu.
In addition to specific year group pages, we have a wealth of other home learning support and activities. These include extra support for Reading, Maths and Writing, plus a number of games and virtual museums and art galleries! You can access these visiting our Home Learning page. Bespoke Isolation Learning - 13-17 December 2021
Due to a rise in COVID infections in school, more children require home learning in the run up to Christmas. Therefore, it is not possible to organise Teams meetings for the writing and maths so we have created bespoke activities for children at home alongside the traditional CHOICE homework activities that cover all other subjects. Please visit the Year Group pages below as normal.
