PE Sports Grant
|
Introduction
Since 2013, the Government have spent millions on improving physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.
The Sports Premium Grant is money provided directly to primary schools to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for children. The sport funding can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools, which have the freedom to choose how they do this. Every school is given a lump sum and additional payments based on pupil numbers.
Funding has help to keep the school at the forefront of PE in the local community not only providing opportunities for our own pupils (be it at festival or competitions) but also our pupils and staff help to run events for locality infant and primary schools. Doing this work the school has achieved the School Games Platinum award after 4 successful Gold standard years.
