Pupils with SEND
Transition for children with SEND will require some additional planning to ensure that it is smooth and successful. A well-planned transition between primary and secondary schools will help to remove any barriers to learning and ensure children feel a sense of belonging. Whilst Chesswood is working closely with all secondary schools, much of this groundwork for a successful transition can be supported at home. Mental Health Foundation has created guides for Parents, Pupils and Schools. Much of this great advice would be beneficial for supporting all children.
