Reasoning for Writing is an integral part of the writing process as it encourages pupils to develop their higher order thinking skills strengthening the foundation of their writing skills.

Following the publication of their extended writing, using the Success Criteria that they used to write the piece, pupils describe, explain and justify the choices they have made in their writing and the intended impact on the reader.
