Chesswood Junior School

School Closure Information

While the school is closed, teachers are posting Daily Learning for children in all year groups.

Please go to:  Learning/Home Learning/Year X Daily Learning

There are also reading and listening resources, and games and activities to help you practise your English at:  Learning/Home Learning/EAL Support at Home

Children should aim to do some English (writing, reading, grammar and spelling) and maths each day.  There are also weekly activities to do in other subjects (such as science, art, history, geography and music) to choose from each day.

Make sure you keep up with your reading - aim to read for 30 minutes each day.  Visit this link to take quizzes just like you do in school:

Why not also try the daily PE challenge?  It is important to stay fit and healthy during this time!

You could make yourself a timetable for each day - just like we have in school - so you know what you will be learning each day...

You can also still go on ixl and TT Rockstars to practise your maths and English skills!  If you have forgotten any of your usernames or passwords, email your teacher and they can send them to you.  (You can find your teacher's email address on your Daily Learning Page.)

Mrs Wood, who works with some of you in school, has sent home English language practice for you to work on at home.  This is taken from the 'Racing to English' programme, which is what you work on in school. Go to: EAL/Racing to English Programme to find out more....

During this period of school closure, our school pastoral team have created a web page to help support families :

Here you will find a wide range of resources, information, ideas and links that will be updated weekly, so please keep logging in.

The Chesswood pastoral team is still working and can be contacted during school closure with any worries or concerns you might have on
Chesswood children can also contact us with any worries they may have using the worry box, which can be found on the managing worries page of the website and through this link:
